The HBM prioritization is really the hidden story here. Those AI chips need massive amounts of high bandwith memory and the margins on HBM are way better than consumer DDR5. Samsung and SK Hynix are basicaly saying gamers can wait while they rake in datacenter money. Brutal timing for anyone planning a build.
Well put. Its just going to get more rough. Everything must burn so AI can keep living. Next think we will hear is "We found a way to run AI models on monitors, they are 5 grand each now."
Whos the man? You da man El Cappytan! Also, I would just like to submit my 2 cents and say we should at least have a fun playdate on Turkey Day! That would be a fun thing to do, especially for the Tadpoolers who are at home by themselves. If you decide to have a playdate, count me in Captain!
Could you credit your image sources and sources for your info? That is more important than ever with AI companies scraping and surfacing info without doing so and making money off original reporting.
Yep! Good idea. First image is from the Vengence site. 2nd I made in HTML. 3rd is a promo image from Steam for the Steam Machine. And finally, that guy with the card at the end I drew myself. :)
