We've had the Switch 2 since June of last year
How is your purchase holding up?
I’ve been thinking some about how the Switch 2 has been, by most accounts, successful for Nintendo. It’s been eight months and change since it hit stores in the US, and surely plenty of people have been enjoying their DK’s and their Metroids, and a lot of back-catalog from the Switch 1 library.
Has it lived up to what you’d hoped? Let’s talk about it!
I pre-ordered one for myself thinking it would replace my Steam Deck, played it for a few months, then I went back to my Steam Deck while it gathered dust. I ended up giving it to my kids to replace their Switch 1. Although other than Bananza, everything they’ve played on it they could have played on the Switch 1. So pretty much a waste of money so far.
I have dipped in and out of Nintendo over the years.. Micro vs Boxing.. N64.. but the Game Gears and Switches have never held any interest (especially compared to the Game Gear and PSP) but I recognise that Nintendo hand helds are owned and enjoyed with the same blind loyalty as Apple.. so on balance of probablity I am sure 90% of switch 2 owners love it because they do
