I am pro acknowledgement, pro developer, pro AI and pro good reasonable priced games. I have 2 degrees in computer science, worked 39 years in IT at a large variety of jobs, was consulting for 4 years and have programmed in over 20 different languages. Since retiring I have over 18,000 hours in ESO and played Fallout 4 till I had blood clots in both legs.
I believe that a combination of AI and artists/developers is the best method of developing high quality and diverse games is to use AI to start with or use it 100% for the mundain stuff (like trees, grass, rock walls & sky).
Bottom line: I would be happy to buy AI games, if I know about it and the overall game quality is high. I am still waiting for the new Elder Scrolls and Fallout games like everyone else and AI could help make that happen sooner .

Thanks for the feedback. Especially given your experience. I think that gives some much needed context to the whole convo.
